Congratulations Varsity Choir 2021-22!

THANK YOU to the 43 wonderful singers who auditioned for the Varsity Choir!

​

Everyone sang beautifully and it was such a pleasure for me to hear your amazing voices.    

Auditioning is not an easy thing to do, and you should be so proud of yourselves for taking on that challenge.  As a performer myself, I have personal knowledge of being on the other end of audition decisions so I do understand the potential elation or upset which may result. Parents, you know your child best and know the techniques to comfort them, but in case of upset over the decision, I would encourage you to empower your child to come and talk to me in a one-on-one discussion about how to go about enhancing their future auditions.   That which doesn't break us, makes us!

Please keep singing, and practicing, and listening to music, and loving music and singing, and don't give up!!!  Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.  sbmetcalfe@aacps.org

 

For those singers that were selected for the Varsity Choir, just a few reminders for you and your parents/guardians:

  • First rehearsal is Wednesday, October 6 from 3:15 - 5:00

  • Rehearsals are usually held on Mondays from 3:15 - 5:00

  • There is a mandatory parent meeting immediately following rehearsal on October 11 at 5:00 in the chorus room.

    • Please use the M-Hall Doors (last set of blue double doors, past the gym, facing Jumpers Hole Rd)

  • The signed contract (by parent & singer) is due at the parent meeting (please remit the $100 fee via this website prior to the meeting)

 

Please take this opportunity to register and remit your fees! If you have not already done so, you must also register for SLS and fill out the online permission slip to attend VC rehearsals. Please also download the Varsity Choir contract, sign and bring to the meeting.
